Assiniboia Downs Race 3 CTHS Sales Stakes (Non-graded) 2YO 9:35 EST So-so field of six here going 6 furlongs on the dirt. The 3 Lady Cop is 2-for-2 lifetime, having beaten the 1 Russian Pearl in both starts. The 5 Doublebarreldelite came in third to those two on debut two back. The 2 Private Frank is a new shooter; the debut gelding has several bullet works. The 4 Love My Life won on debut against weaker company. Can’t imagine that Russian Pearl’s connections are putting their horse in against Lady Cop a third time if they don’t think there’s a step forward in the cards. I’ll play against the favorites in this spot.
