Presidents’ Day Spot Plays
Oaklawn Park Race 3. 7 Fastest Spin is 2-1-1-0 lifetime surface/distance. First time claimer for red-hot Karl Broberg–need I say more? He puts David Cabrera on the mount. If we get the 3-1 morning line, we’ll be happy.
Santa Anita Race 2. 4 Prince Ziggy gets a class drop here. Morning line of 4-1 and hope to get 5-2 or better.
Santa Anita Race 3. 2 Rebel War has the early speed to get to the lead and wire the field. 8-1 morning line and expect to get every bit of that.
Santa Anita Race 8. This twelve-horse field features four first time starters. The one we’re keen on is 10 Disko Tribute. This 3-year-old gelding has been working nicely for trainer Richard Baltas and Abel Cedillo takes the irons. Breeding suggests this horse should love the surface and distance. At 6-1 on the morning line, he will be hard to pass up.
