Gulfstream Park • Race 3 • 1:10 p.m. ET [PPs] Based on connections alone, 2 Plaisante figures to get bet down from her 3-1 morning line. This is an average bunch, and she doesn’t exactly stand out. There are a pair coming off substantial layoffs that I’m intrigued by and have in consideration on top. 3 Frozen Solid took a nine month break after improving in her third career start. Trainer Brian Lynch is 6-for-16 running off 180+ day layoffs. 6 Little Jewel is a gray that debuted back in June at Churchill Downs, finishing third in a Maiden Special Weight. This mare’s breeding has turf sprinter written all over it. I love the half furlong cutback and the trainer/jockey combo is 1-for-1 during this Championship Meet. Why not make it 2-for-2?
Picks: 6-3-2-8
NEW! HAMMER’S “NAIL” My favorite play of the day. We’ll keep a running tally going forward.
Aqueduct • Race 7 • 3:16 p.m. ET Trainer H. James Bond pops up here with 9 Baldizar. Jockey switch to Jose Lezcano a plus. Finished third last time out against similar company after winning his first two races. By far the lightest raced horse of this group.
Best of luck!
