Today’s feature is race 6 at Mountaineer Park, an Allowance Optional Claiming NW3 for fillies and mares 3 years old and up. There are no scratches in this field of seven.
The two early speed horses in this race sandwich the rest of this field. 1 Silver Stick Stair shouldn’t have a problem getting out in front but may very well be challenged by 7 Spice It Up, who wants to go to the lead for sure. I don’t think she has the speed to keep up, so I’ll include her underneath only. 3 Content is one of the classier horses in the race, but I can’t justify having that short a price on top. I’ll take Silver Stick Stair to wire the field like she did going the same distance two back. The step up in class is notable, but the works have been such that I think she’ll be able to hold her own.
